Akira Tozawa

Without doubt one of the most popular Dragon Gate stars to set foot in the UK, Tozawa holds a perfect 3-0 DG:UK record after excellent battles with Dragon Kid, Tanizaki and Marty Scurll. His sights are set firmly on top level talent and making his record 6-0 and claiming to be the first roster member to go (+5) on his record and cash in the reward. His debut in Broxbourne was met with a thunderous response and he topped that in Nottingham when he vowed to fight (for one night only) for the UK and competed in a classic against stablemate Tanizaki. The third leg of the tour featured the most requested match of the weekend, when he took on Marty Scurll in a match that sends Scurll once again to the edge of extinction.

Noam Dar

Having faced world wide stars like AJ Styles, Jerry Lynn, and heading for a showdown with former WWE Star John Morrison, Dar comes with quite the reputation, in the past 12 months he has featured for just about every major UK company and battled Zack Sabre Jnr, Dave Mastiff and Dragon Gate UK Stars Mark Haskins, Lion Kid & Dean Allmark. Making his DG:UK debut in the bonus match in Nottingham in 2011, Dar who now has a 1-0 Dragon Gate UK record, has certainly earned his place on the Elite Team UK, he asked for the absolute biggest matches he could be given and even though it’s not official, this is as close to a trial series as we’re likely to see in the UK. At 19 years of age, he is young and inexperienced but most certainly one of Europe’s top prospects and he will want to do everything in his power this February to prove it

One man’s entrance music more than anybody else in Dragon Gate means a huge systematic dismantling is coming his opponents way, that man is former open the Dream Gate Champion. Yamato!

Making his return to Dragon Gate UK is akatsuki’s Yamato, his record of 0-2 would not lend it’s self to the danger this warrior possesses to anybody stood in opposition on any given night. Yamato demanded the very best competition on his return, after the 2011 tour absence and he is set on leaving with nothing less than a 3-2 record come the final bell at Castleford. He is one of the most feared strikers and submission artists in Dragon Gate and has emerged as a one of the top players in both DG & DGUSA after all he won the Dream Gate less than four years into his career, and held the Freedom Gate for the majority of 2011

Dragon Gate 2013 Tour Announced. 

We’re coming home in 2013, the most amazing wrestling showcases arrives back on February 22, 23 and 24 in Broxbourne (2 nights) and an as of yet unnamed venue for the Sunday event. FOr the 2013 tour all 3 shows will be full main cards and the shows are looking unbelievably stacked. Dragon Gate UK hit the UK last in 2011 with 3 amazing shows, from PAC facing Shingo, remember when Shingo suplexed PAC onto the ropes and the man who gravity forgot bounced into the centre of the ring. What about when the Bloodwarriors gave Lion Kid a three person curb stomp and nearly knocked him cold. Or Maybe the following night when Tozawa hit his suicide dive and before Tanizaki knew what him to him slid into the ring and hit it again!! The crowd went mental, the unforgettable middlerope Tombstone on Haskins from Gamma, or when PAC decided to backflip out of Dragon Kid’s reverse Hurricarana onto his feet. But then in an almost movie-esq moment, which Yokosuka kicked out of the second Made in Japan, scores of people jumped out of their seats, people were high-fiving their mates, hugging each other, people in the back were standing, camera crew were shaking their heads, jaw’s were on the floor, these are the moments you missed if you weren’t apart of Dragon Gate UK’s past. Also announced are current Open the Dream Gate champion CIMA, and World 1 International’s Naruki Doi, 2 of the biggest names in Dragon Gate, are confirmed for the trip to the UK, They will lead an allstar cast of some of the best wrestlers in the world and in their 4 tour, they have it all to do to top the previous tours, but to say the roster is focused on this would be an understatement of epic proportions
